Mama's Girl

Reagan is a complete mama's girl! Now one would assume that this would completely please and excite me..especially since she is still continuously saying dada and rarely mama. However, this stage of life has reached a new level...separation anxiety. Bum bum bum.....

At first this was cute..Mama leaves the room and baby cries. Aww..baby loves Mama. Not anymore. I cannot walk out of her eyesight without a complete alligator tear, red faced fit ensuing. Nice. Do you know how difficult it is to stay within someones eyesight that is 24 inches from the ground..quite difficult really. Of course she loves Ben and they have a great time hanging out together, as long as I'm no where near. They can be playing and having a grand time and she catches a glimpse of me and well...here comes the fit. Once the fit is in full force (about 0.5 seconds into it), there is no solution but for Mama to pick her up and hold her Magically the fit stops even quicker than it began. This has resulted in me carrying Reagan around all day over the weekend which has left me with a sore neck and back covered in Icy Hot and smelling like a rose.

While I bask in the bragging rights that Reagan is a mama's girl, I don't know if my neck and back and Ben's feelings can take much more of this stage. I'm sure other moms have been through this. Any advice?

Words to Live By

The lyrics to this song are speaking volumes to me personally as well as my family right now. I am constantly finding myself singing this song (and truth me told dancing around like a maniac at home singing at the top of my lungs....it speaks that much to me!).

Blessed Be Your Name

In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name

Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name

"Dada"

As much as I've been trying to brainwash Reagan to say Mama first...or possibly Emmy...the inevitable happened and she said Dada! Ben had just walked in the room and I was holding her. She just looked up at him and sad it. So precioius! She is such a lucky girl to have such an amazing dad. Ben loves this little girl so much! Here are a few (okay several) of my favorite pictures of the two of them together.

Our baby girl is seven months and what a cutie! Check out how she's beating the heat this hot summer!

 Pants not required at
                                     the Grandparents' house!

Looking a little like Elton John but still adorable!

Splishin' and Splashin' in her new pool!

How cute is this picture of her and and Ben!?
She was completely content just hanging out like this.

Almost crawling! SO close!

6 Months

Baby got her blue jeans on!  (Reagan in her first pair of blue jean shorts! So cute!)

Reagan had her six month check up on Monday and did so well.  We received great news that her heart murmur is gone. Hooray! She weighs 15.13lb and is 23inches tall. This puts her in the 40% for weight and 20% for height.

A Consumer MUST Have

If you have a little girl in your life, then you definitely need to check out 3Seams. Adorable dresses for such a great cause. How it works is for every dress that you buy, an exact second dress is made and donated to a young girl in Haiti. Amazing idea, huh!? Plus...added bonus...the dresses are made in Haiti by local women. They allow you to customize your dress with your daughter's favorite color, etc. The dresses are also brilliantly made to grow with your little one and can transition into a shirt once the dress becomes too snug. Precious dresses at a great cost that supports an amazing cause. This consumer gives it a 5 star rating!

A few pictures I snagged from their site:
